Okay, okay… this isn’t as self-congratulatory as the title suggests…
A few weeks ago, a friend invited me to start running with her twice a week.
A little back story here… when I was “into” running, I bullied encouraged her to run a race with me. We ended up doing three together that summer!

I got her hooked, and she has surpassed me by leaps and bounds! She’s even ran a 1/2 marathon, which I am so proud of!
Soooo, basically I have been her warm-up. We have been meeting at the school track on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I just have to say, I’m out of shape. Oh, so out of shape. Every bit of conditioning and fitness I had accrued over all my years in the gym are loooong gone. Plus, pushing a running stroller is no joke! At this point, I can huff 1/2 way around the track, then walk 1/2 way. Repeat for 20-30 minutes (depending on how much time I have before The Bean’s supper at 6pm).

My Goal:
Tuesdays/Thursdays – Run at the track
Saturdays – Run on my treadmill (yes, I have a very nice treadmill that hasn’t been used since returning to work full time…). I call him Tready.
Sundays – Yoga
I realize this isn’t going to happen overnight. Life is crazy busy since having Harlow, but it WILL happen. Baby steps…
