Recently, while looking for something easy to bring to work for lunch, I was perusing some old cookbooks and came across a recipe for a wrap that I used to eat often. (I’m not sure you can call it a recipe for a wrap in which no ingredient is cooked or even prepared, really… maybe more of an “assemble” than a “recipe”? I digress…)
I used to eat all kinds of different wraps and honestly, I just forgot about the idea of a wrap. I love them, though! They are so versatile and a great way to basically make a salad super quick and easy to eat! I very loosely followed the idea in the cookbook to make this:
Don’t be too jealous of my mad non-iPhone skillz…
In the mix went:
Tumaros Low-in-carb Wrap – Garden Veggie
Philadelphia Garden Veggie Cream Cheese
Sargento Off the Block Shredded Cheddar Cheese
chunked cucumber
shredded carrot
spinach
The entire wrap only came to around 200 calories, so I planned on adding an apple on the side. The wrap itself was so satisfying, though, that my apple is still sitting on my desk. Poor thing.
Now that I’m back in the “wrap” groove, I can’t wait to see what other combos I come up with! I’ll be sure to share!
What wraps do you love to make or buy?
