Friday Favorites – Toddler Board Books

Harlow is SO into reading these days.  We’ve spent hours reading one book after another, or reading the same book over and over and over and over…  Here are some of our favorites!

The Pout Pout Fish

We can read this a dozen times in a row if Harlow has her way.  She’ll bring it to me saying “Fishy!  Fishy!”  It is my favorite of all her books, too…

Little Blue Truck

Harlow loves saying “Beep!” and making the animal noises throughout the book.  It is so cute and shows you that being friendly is the way to go!  I love it because it is so cute!

Good Night Michigan

My sister bought this one, and I was skeptical about it (because…Michigan), but Harlow loves it.  She loves the part where it asks if she likes to play in the sand.  Every time she responds, “YES!”.  It is adorable.

Where is Baby’s Belly Button?

Harlow loves any kind of “lift the flap” or “feely” book, but this one she really loves because as we go through, she’ll point out her own body parts.  It is always so sweet, and since she knows so many more body parts than is in the book, we can go on and on after the book is done!

Poke-a-Dot – 10 Little Monkeys

We’ve never actually read a word in this book, but she loves popping all the dots.  She’ll say “Pop!” after doing them sometimes.  I assume it is good for fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination or something, too…  😉

Honorable Mentions:

The Hiccupotamus – Harlow isn’t big on this book, but I loooove it.  I bought it for her when she was a wee thing because she had constant hiccups.

Llama Llama series – She likes these, but most of the books we have are paper books and I am not big on letting her play with them, yet, until she won’t ruin them.  She loves her Llama Llama Nighty Night board book, though, and we have a couple other Llama Llama board books on order, so hopefully they’ll be a hit, too!
