Happy Monday!
Oh, man… this week was a good one!
Chris had to work all weekend, so on Friday after work, Harlow & I headed up to my parent’s house. The whole way up, Harlow chattered and was so excited. Every so often, the entire way up, she’d let out a “Yay! Grandpa’s House!”. It was so fun. She loves my dad SO much.
She was completely wound up when we got there, despite a short nap at daycare and a super late bedtime. After we were there and she got to play with grandma and grandpa for a bit, she crashed.
Saturday morning, we went to breakfast and ran into my Uncle Jerry and Aunt Sherry (Hi, Aunt Sherry!). They joined us for breakfast and it was really nice! Fun Fact: Aunt Sherry is my dad’s twin sister.
Later, I went with my sister and niece to a 31 Party that an old school friend was holding at her mom’s house. I didn’t buy anything, but there were so many cool things available! I really liked this and this.
Saturday evening, my parents, two of my sisters and their families, and Harlow and I went for pizza downtown. It was so delicious. Harlow did really well (aside from grabbing my newly-filled iced tea and dumping it allll over). Oh, well. It was bound to happen sometime, right? I may have bribed her with lots of stickers to behave… 😉
It is worth noting again that Harlow is a TOTAL Grandpa’s Girl. The whole weekend, she was just fascinated by him. She would bring him her socks and shoes to put on, take her medicine if he gave it to her… Most of the things I tried to do were met with, “No, Grandpa do it!”. If he left the room, she’d say, “Where’d Grandpa go? Grandpa, come back!”. It was hilarious and adorable.
Sunday, we ran to breakfast again in the morning, then just bummed around the house until it was time for us to head back home.
It was a very fun weekend, but it is always nice to return home. Especially to a nice, clean home, since Chris scrubbed the place down while we were gone. Thanks, honey!
