Good morning, and Happy December! I know, I’m a week late, but such is life.
It is that time of year again, when I scramble to find things to fill up 24 days of Advent Calendar Activities! Can I get a “woo”? No? Yeah… Same.
Here’s what we’ve had so far:
Day 1: Wrapping Christmas Gifts for Lily from Harlow. (And now we can’t keep Lily away from the tree. #catnipvibes )
Day 2: Put together “Aunt Lori’s” Christmas Tree Craft
A couple of years ago, my sister bought Harlow this craft/puzzle tree thing, and we re-did it on Day 2.
Day 3: Gingerbread
Gingerbread Houses/Igloos/Dog Houses have always been one of the biggest hits of the Advent Calendar.
Day 4: Craft 1
This one was a mild bust. I had scooped up some crafts at Michaels last year after Christmas at a big discount, but didn’t look at them closely enough, in that I didn’t realize you had to paint them. Since Harlow and I both detest painting…. well, it stayed natural wood. Bah.
Day 5: Christmas Donut
Uh, so… when Harlow read this one, she said, “Eh, I’m not really feeling like sweets. Can we save it and do something else?” So the unofficial Day 5 is a cup dragon, that turned into a cup snake when Harlow decided to take off the wings and legs. It was a roller coaster craft, ya’ll. I’m telling ya.
Day 6: Reindeer Ice Cream
Another big hit every year. For obvious, yummy reasons.
If you notice she’s often wearing the same grey-ish shirt, please know that it is her favorite and she has FIVE of them. So please don’t think we’re letting her wear the same clothes day in and day out. I always low-key worry about people thinking that. *shrug*
That’s it for now! Happy Adventing!
