Hello! It is a madhouse here, ya’ll. In fact, for Mother’s Day, my husband gave me a new sewing machine (I got my current one as a high school graduation present… a couple of years ago…) and I haven’t even had a chance to unbox it! Between school events, doctor appointments, yardwork, and just everyday commitments, it has been bonkers. And, according to my planner (that I’m using for the first time ever) it isn’t going to slow down anytime soon. We have only 9 days of school left, and three of them are half days. Plus a Fun Day.
ANYWAY… so what have I been up to? Well, not booking photo shoots, that’s for sure. I had planned on starting to offer time slots way back in March, but Michigan’s winter-clinging weather, and then the above-mentioned shenanigans have prevented it. I am HOPING to start booking sometime soon, but man… life is busy. I have a ton of clutter and backed up projects in my previously clean craft room. Seriously, it is depressing to see how bad it has gotten again.
However, I have been doing some quick projects. First up, Eileen and her husband decided they needed more space, so I built on to their house. I LOVE the way her office turned out. I used cardboard from old boxes for the base, leftover contact paper from the original house, Dollar Tree photo frames, deconstructed, for the door and bulletin board frame, and various bits and bobs lying around my craft room for everything else. In total, the project cost under 5 dollars.
It is far from perfect, and I did it in a very short amount of time, but Harlow is thrilled with it, and I’m pretty happy with it as well.
Oh, and I also made the mermaid garb on her office table. A fun little project Harlow requested made from hot glue, paint, and scrap fabric. I apparently forgot to take a photo of the baby wearing her tail… Oh, well. It looks like Eileen is still putting the finishing touches on it.
Okay, well, I’ve spent enough of my non-existent time here today. I’m already behind on… everything. I feel like the White Rabbit! I’m late! I’m late! No time to say hello, goodbye… I’m late, I’m late, I’m late!
Have a great rest of the week!
